All that glitters….
Hi everyone my name is Vicki, I write the blog themagpiegirl.com Im so excited to be guest blogger for TFNC today.
When TFNC contacted me a few weeks ago and asked me if I would be up for a styling challenge I jumped at the chance! They asked me to pick a party dress from their site and re-style it in a more casual day time way. I chose this amazing gold sequin bodycon dress, I think I was in awe of the head to toe sequins and didn’t really think too hard about how on earth I would take this very glam dress and re-work it! But in the end because of the bodycon fit and long sleeve it lends itself to lots of different looks. Here are just a few ways I would wear it during the day…
Look one… Sequins and denim.
Styled with a loose fit denim shirt over the top and tied up to create a high waisted skirt shape. Add thick winter tights, lace up brogues and a messy top knot its perfect for a gig or cinema date!
Look two…Sequins and fur.
With a slight seventies vibe… I added a brown felt trilby hat, shaggy fur gilet for warmth, tobacco tights and flat slip on boots. Layering over the sequins takes it down a glam notch and makes it more wearable for the daytime.
Look three…Sequins and knit.
This look is my personal favourite…a loose metallic knit shrug, nipped in with a plaited belt, tights and ankle boots. The soft knit creates a cosy relaxed look to the sequined dress and adding the belt helps keep the neat silhouette. Comfy and chic, perfect for a lunch date or day at the office.
